Cobham is situated in the Southern Maloti-Drakensberg Park, South Africa’s first cultural and environmental World Heritage Site, approximately 150km from Pietermaritzburg and 52,000ha in extent with Vergelegen. Managed by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife.

The campsite at Cobham is a rustic open area where visitors can put up tents or caravans anywhere within the designated limits. No electricity, bigger ablutions. There is also hikers bungalow which is like a dorm. Cobham has a number of caves which accommodate a maximum of 12 people on overnight hikes reached by 3 to 5 hour walks from office.

Power: No electricity at campsites. 

Water: Water available at ablutions, river valleys nearby.

 Ablutions: Small ablution block with hot water showers and toilets, clean but basic. 

Braai: Braai facilities in camp area. No fires may be made in wilderness area or caves.

Campsites: Rustic open area, no marked stands, visitors can put up tents or caravans anywhere within designated limits. Bring your own tent, sleeping mats, sleeping bags. 

Other: Ezemvelo office/shop fairly well stocked, hiking trails, caves, verges, high altitude grasslands.
