8.5/10Very Quiet Tier2024–2026
Genuinely remote valley. Reviewers call it “incredibly peaceful, really feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere.” Deductions: baboons a recurring nuisance; Cape Nature campsite ablutions had reported issues; private landowner kiosk/restaurant means it’s not deserted.

Province: Western Cape
Location: Gamkaskloof (Prince Albert area)
